Making Pilgrimages

Hi ho! Ever heard of old paths of pilgrims, for example, the famous one to Santiago de Compostela? This would have been my dream this summer, travelling through France and Spain, and all by bike… Well, I didn’t make it, of course. But last weekend, during my holidays in South Germany, I was on my way to visit some friends. I decided to borrow a bike of another friend of mine, and started at home in Eningen u.A., which is located at the bottom of the Swabian mountains, around 40 km south of Stuttgart, the capital city of Baden-Württemberg.

I cycled via the landscapes of the Swabian mountains, through the Lauter river valley, to Ehingen a.D., that is, a small town at the benches of the river Danube. And back again, via other valleys, through which leads an old railway path. I also passed by one of the highest points on top of the Swabian mountains (860 m), from where it is usually possible to spot the Alps and the Black Forest. I wasn’t that lucky, but all in all the journey (around 150 km) proved to be a great opportunity to rejoice in the nature that God created for us human beings. Here is a collage with a few of my pilgrimages ;-) Enjoy!

Greetings, Bastian
