We recently decided to support Laura and Minna, two teacher students at the University of Oulu, who are going to Egypt this summer (June 25th – July 22nd) to teach English. They will be teaching with a programme called Serve to Learn, which is part of the Coptic Orphans organisation. Coptic Orphans is a Christian organisation dedicated to helping the lives of orphaned children and poor families in Egypt. The purpose of Serve to Learn is to help God’s children by teaching English as well as by visiting the homes of Egyptian families. Laura and Minna would greatly appreciate prayers for the safety of the trip and the well-being of the children, the families, and the volunteers involved. If possible, they will publish, every once in a while or after their return to Oulu, a little story or picture relating to their activities ;-) Let’s keep praying for them… If you have a facebook account, feel free to visit the Serve to Learn Facebook group.
