International Thanksgiving Evening

Welcome to join in for the traditional International Thanksgiving Evening on Friday 28.11. at 18.00 to Pakkahuoneenkatu 17. We’ll have a  potluck dinner, that is, a meal prepared by common efforts! You’re invited to bring a dish (cooked or baked, hot or cold) from your home country and share it with others! The dishes can be stored from 17.30 onwards in the kitchen, and we’ll start with a devotion at 18.00. We’ll try to help with arranging transportation to/from Linnanmaa – just give a call to Bastian 050-3174931. The evening is organised by the Salvation Army & International Christian Fellowship of Oulu. Here’s also a devotion regarding thanksgiving, prepared for ICFO’s worship meeting. (BF)

Bible Study

Hi there! Welcome to study the Bible – God’s Word – together in a joint effort at Bastian’s place (Puulinnankatu 5 C23) every Tuesday from 19.00. Currently we’re looking into Romans. Usually we deal with a few verses and proceed chapter by chapter. We start with an opening prayer, coffee/tea and goodies, and end by exchanging thanksgiving and prayer requests. Feel free to come along – here’s a panorama picture of our group (even a few are missing on the photo). (BF)

Our Father(s)

Our Father(s) was the topic of the worship meeting on 9.11.2008. It was a joint effort by members of our international Christian fellowship, and the main idea was to share a message and music about the character of God our Heavenly Father. The meeting included Tsegaye’s testimony about being a human father and Marja’s testimony on her spiritual father. (BF)
