Info Sessions

In spring 2009 ICFO hosted info sessions every second Sunday in a month in conclusion of worship meetings at 15.30 in St. Luke’s Chapel, Yliopistokatu 7. We invited speakers who are able to compare Biblical faith with other kinds of faiths and religions, or beliefs in science. The purpose of these info sessions was to provide a sound overview of other faiths by referring  to Scripture. Here we’ll provide also links to the material shared during the worship meetings and info sessions (see below).

Evolution vs. Creation

Welcome to ICFO’s last info session this spring, “Nature: A Product of Chance or the Creation of God?” The session will be held on 17.5.2009 at 15.30 at St. Luke’s Chapel, Yliopistokatu 7. We’ll start with Bible readings and songs, and then proceed to the speakers’ contributions that will highlight the topic at hand from a Biblical perspective. Speakers will be Erkki Jokisalo and Joni Ruokamo. It’s also possible to continue discussing issues relating to evolution and/or creation during the fellowship time over a cup of tea or coffee.  The session is open for everyone, and entrance is free – here’s the material - welcome! Truth Gathering II

Once again it’ll be possible – based on Jesus’ command – to spread the good news and serve people at the Truth 09 event together with other Christian believers from various ministries in Oulu.

Come along and let your gifts be used for God’s glory! Let’s meet up on Saturday, 16 May 11.00 – 13.00 at Kirkkokatu 34 (Free Church) for an occasion to worship, pray and share our thoughts and plan this year’s Truth event.

The Truth event will be arranged 28 – 30 August. See last year’s Truth event. “Be encouraged by the Word of God: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)  (BF)
